As a KAM, Brian primarily focuses on irrigation system sales and automation. Each day consists of maintaining relationships with existing growers and creating relationships with new growers. You can typically find Brian out in the field reaching out to new customers about potential irrigation projects. He can also be found managing his awarded jobs that are in progress, ensuring they’re seen through to the very end. Currently, Brian is pushing water treatment programs with these growers to give their irrigation system a fresh start for Spring 2021.

Brian’s passion for agriculture started at a young age. As a native of Bakersfield, Calif., Brian always had friends and family who were involved in agriculture, and solid relationships with local farmers. He was introduced to the livestock sector of agriculture and grew an appreciation for the beef industry that still holds true today. Brian attended North High School, graduating in 2005 and went on to attend Bakersfield College. After some time here, he moved on to Chico State to pursue a degree in Animal Science. Brian graduated in 2009 and was unsure about what do with his degree. As a result, he decided to go work for the U.S.F.S. on the Fulton Hotshot Crew. His days on the Hotshot Crew were spent doing wildland firefighting all over the U.S. He and his team would be flown in or hike into these wildfires to handle the initial attack. While serving as a Hotshot, Brian gained invaluable life experiences. From building a hard work ethic, to personnel and logistics management, command presence, confidence in decision making, and communication skills, the experiences will forever impact his life. Eventually, Brian decided to return to the Valley where he knew the opportunities in agriculture were endless. He decided to pursue a career in irrigation management as a technician for Hortau, installing soil moisture probes. He worked his way through the ranks to later become a grower relations representative serving customers in the South Valley. He came to know Dave Sackrider while working in this position. Dave introduced Brian to the opportunities at GAR Bennett as a KAM, and the rest was history.

Outside of irrigation, Brian can be found spending time with his girlfriend—Haley—traveling or in his happy place: the mountains. When he’s able to snag some free time, Brian enjoys golfing, cowboying and roping at family brandings in the winter months.

Brian is excited for the new knowledge and expertise that is at his disposal because of the merger.

“Having so much knowledge and experience available under one company is great. What’s even better is being able to put it all together to provide the best product and results for our customers.”
