Growing up in Lemoore, Laura’s dad was in the Navy. She attended Lemoore High School, then West Hills College for her AA and finally Fresno State for a Bachelor of Fine Arts. “I wanted to be a curator for a museum,” Laura says.
Now, she curates prices for parts and loves it! “There’s a lot to like about it,” Laura explains, “I like the office setting. Everyone is very professional. People are so friendly, so nice and communicative. If there’s a problem, they want to hear it and fix it.”
Laura looks forward to the day when the GAR Bennett branches can all come together again, “I loved the fun events we were doing. It was nice seeing the people in the other branches who I talk with via email but don’t always get to see in person.”
In her spare time, Laura runs a small business on Etsy where she sells dog collars, dog leashes, wallets, purses, and backpacks. Check her out @ThreadingPawBoutique. She and her husband have one dog (Shasta), a cat (Bonnie) and four guinea pigs (Rosie, Azalea, Briar Rose, Willow).
