When he joined GAR, Ron started as a driver, then later became a supervisor in the fertilizer yard, ran the blend plant, and served as a PCA. He truly has experience in a vast cross-section of the company. Presently, he works in the water division of the agronomy department. He is primarily in charge of making blends for PCAs and making sure everything is compatible. He also coordinates all Shock Wave and EM-38 jobs, plus assisting in the collaboration of GAR Bennett’s combined services.
Ron was raised in the small town of Halsey, Oregon. He graduated from Central Linn High School, attended Linn Benton Community College, and Oregon State University. Before moving to California in 1979 to run a family citrus farm, he worked for a fertilize company in Oregon.
In the early 90’s, Ron attended Reedley College and COS to earn more credits towards qualifying for a PCA license. He is presently working towards a CCA license.
Ron is married to his wife of 44 years and has three children, Nick, Sarah and Ashley. He is also blessed with one grandchild, Ryan. When he has spare time, Ron travels to explore mountains, coasts, other towns and states. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, playing golf and watching sporting events.
